Custom designed in house by Downforce Motorsports and built by Olthoff Racing for Vingiggs, this Shelby is truly one of a kind! From its Fuji Pearl exterior to custom wheels, to custom one-off gauges to a fully blacked-out engine, no attention to detail has been over looked on this Daytona.

Vinny contacted us looking for a Daytona Coupe but he didn't want the atypical blue and white finish that is most commonly seen on these cars. Instead, he gave us one instruction, make it cool!

Starting with the exterior this Daytona is finished in Fuji Pearl White and accented by Viper Blue twin stripes and half cove. A Carbon Flash Metallic center stripe was added along with a Daytona first ever factory blackout package. Giving this Shelby a modern but classy look that easily sets itself apart from any other Daytona Coupe you may see.

Another first ever for this unique build is the rolling stock, which is a set of Downforce Motorsports exclusive Forgeline SS3R three-piece custom 18” wheels wrapped in Falken RT660 tires. The true knockoff spinners have been also blacked-out and the wheels finished from Forgeline in Carbon Flash Metallic to match the center stripe.

Moving to the interior, you’ll find a set of leather high-back seats with the Shelby CSX9000 series logo embroidered. A full center console with all the controls you need including the HVAC system with air conditioning. The first and custom touches continue on the interior as all of the vitals are monitored through a one-off set of Speedhut gauges. All of the gauges except the tach are finished with white lettering over a blue backing and lite up in blue as well to pull in the exterior theme. The tach however, is flipped with blue lettering and a white backing. The tach is further adorned by a blue pie shape noting the engines redline area and features in built in, programable progressive shift light.

With so much attention given to the exterior and interior of this incredible Daytona, the powertrain wasn’t overlooked. Power comes from a Prestige Motorsports fully custom built 351 Windsor base small block Ford that has been bored and stroked to 427 cui. Topped with a Borla 8-stack fuel injection system that looks that Weber carbs. As much of the engine as possbile was blacked out to give it a modern and menacing look. Power is rated at 578 hp & 552 lbs/tq, more than enough to propel this Daytona down the road or track and makes the black ceramic coated side pipes sing. All this power is delivered through a Tremec TKX 5-speed transmission, which provides great performance and an overdrive gear for highway cruising.

As with all Shelby Daytona CSX9000 series Daytona Coupes, CSX9178 is eligible for the Shelby owner’s registry, sits on a fully bespoke built tubular chassis with front and rear independent suspension.

CSX9178 is titled in South Carolina as a 1964 Shelby Daytona Coupe with its CSX VIN on the title!
